Report from County Rep
LCSL July Meeting Update
The Constitution and Rules were approved as posted, with the addition that
checking player passes by the referee is mandatory.
Bruce Buchanan of Vermilion has agreed to serve remaining 1 year of the 2
year term as LCSL President.
Kathy Dziat of Firelands will serve as Secretary, and Thomas Cadenhead of
Oberlin will serve as Sportsmanship Director.
The office of Vice President remains open.
The Fall Season dates were set:
7/18 - Scheduler assigns divisions, sends to LCSL Reps for review.
8/1 - Preliminary schedules posted here on LCSL website, Coaches may work
out change requests.
8/13 - Deadline for change requests.
8/20 - Final schedule posted and sent to referee scheduler.
8/25 - First Saturday of games.
10/13 - Last Saturday of games.

JULY 30 REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER FEE: $20.00 PER MEMBER STARTS
AUG 1 PLAYERS/COACHES OFFICIALLY REGISTERED FOR 2007/08 PROVIDING ALL FEES
ARE PAID AND DATA HAS BEEN ENTERED INTO THE eREG SYSTEM

SEPT 17 12:01 AM REGISTRATION IS CLOSED UNTIL FEBRUARY 2008
- Per John, proof of age no longer required for this league
- AASL is increasing the cost for players and coaches by $1.00
- OYSAN will now require coaches and board members to complete a risk management form yearly at a cost of $5.00 per person
- In order to avoid this fee, for this year only, Lorain City Soccer is asking all of its coaches and board members to complete this form before 9/1/07

Registrar’s Report
-Chrisitine only has all of the required information from approximately half of the coaches in the U9 and higher category.
- We will start getting charged $5 per day per team in late fees
- Last year this cost our league approximately $500
- These late fees will not be paid any longer
- The registration process started on May 17th
- Any coach, that coaches a U9-U14 county team, must have all of their registrations, pictures, players passes, and payments into Christine by midnight this Friday, July 27th or their team will not play

- If coaches add players to their teams after Christine has driven the registrations to the county registrar, that coach will have to drive the information to North Ridgeville themselves.
Old Business
- Small sided games in Fall
- Steve’s plan for U5-U8 for Fall. Will e-mail draft. Status?
- U5/U6 will be called Peanuts. Will play 3V3. Probably on Saturday mornings.
- These kids will wear yellow t-shirts
- U7/U8 will be called Buckeyes. Will play 4V4. U8 will not play in county league starting this fall. They will remain inhouse.
- Will probably play on Sunday afternoons.
- These kids will wear blue t-shirts
- Soccer School will be Mon-Thurs at Longfellow. Parents may choose the day that is most convenient for them. Players may attend 2 days per week or all 4.
- Will need coaches, currently coaching at any level, to commit to dates on calendar to assist these players.
- Steve will contact all coaches at this age level to set up schedule
- Some players want to ensure they have same coaches, there will not be teams
- Kids will practice on days that are convenient for their parents and will be put on “teams” to play, but if one “team” is short players, kids will be switched around.
- Steve to set start date for inhouse players and post on www.loraincitysoccer.org
- Maximum per family is $100.00 on registration form will be changed next season
- coach and assistant coach rate good for more than one team, if the coach or assistant is also coaching more than one team
- There can only be a maximum of one coach and two assistants per team
- Stocker Foundation received 120 applications for grant money
- Lorain City Soccer was turned down
- New fields on hold again, unless someone knows how we can get $8,500.00
- Lions Club meeting this Thursday, July 26
- No one at meeting was able to attend
New Business
- Field striping for fall
- ways to save on this cost were discussed
- 3 people have agreed to stripe which will get us started for the season
- Watering of U13/U14 field at Longfellow, Scott can get hose for anyone able to water
- Fundraising, no discussion regarding this
- Field configurations/goals, John J. and Calvin will measure fields on Thursday evening or John J. and Mark A. will measure on Saturday am
- Scott to get wheel for John
- Nominations being accepted for the following positions starting at the August meeting: Vice President Standard (U11 & up), Secretary, Registrar, Uniform Manager, field manager (vacated)
- Vote to take place at our monthly meeting the second Thursday in November
- Need someone to start answering the phone line ASAP
