Meeting Minutes 1/23/07

Treasurer’s Report
- Treasurer present.
- No report given.
- Per Steve, last report dated 10-11-06, bank balance of $3799.00
- Bank statements not coming to P.O. Box.
- All other mail being delivered okay.
- John explained duties of treasurer to Rob Garcia.
- Johnna Wood nominated Rob Garcia treasurer.
- Motion 2nd by Calvin Jones.
- Vote to elect Rob as new treasurer will take place at next months meeting.

Report from County Rep
- Openings available for President & Vice President at County level.
- John reported county will eventually process all registrations online, probably starting in Fall 2007.
- Christine will get in contact with Jeff Kodman to see if he is able to attend next county meeting with her. John will get Christine the date.
- Team commitments due to the county by February 7th. Coaches must also let league know of game requests by this date.
- Registrations due county on March 7th.
- County games start April 14 and end on June 2, 2007.
- Game schedules will include 7 Saturdays, and 1 week night game, unless coaches contact league official ahead of time. They will do their best to accommodate situations.
- County tournaments will be held on June 9th.
- Anyone interested in being a referee may get information at www.fsra.org

Report from AASL Rep.
- Last couple meetings were canceled.
- Next meeting and commitments due on 2/5/07

Report from NOGSL Rep.
- Frank not present.
- Christine will contact Frank regarding registrations for his team.
- Frank needs to contact NOGSL to find out about team commitments.

Registrar’s Report
- Lorain City Soccer open registration dates moved up due to county commitment dates.
- Coaches may register new players to their teams through 2/16/07
- New coaches registration forms also due on 2/16/07
- Open registration for everyone will be 2/2-2/23/07
- Johnna to set up dates, times & locations for open registration
- Advertise in Community Scoreboard, Cable channel, web-site, phone line
- Johnna advised Christine that Mike Folley and Janice Jennings requested additional players for their teams.
- For all new players, Christine needs picture, copy of birth certificate, completed registration form, and payment at time of registration or else registration will not be taken. No exceptions.

Old Business
- Procedure for parents not able to attend open registration at date, time and place designated: Will take child’s name, birth date, and phone number and will give that information to coach of that age level. Coaches may then contact parent if they are in need of player. Other wise, parent will have to wait for open registration to be held again in May or June.
- Information regarding open registration will be forwarded to Bob Renney at the Parks & Rec. department in case parents inquire with them about soccer.
- Will get him new registration forms in May or June when forms with current dates are printed.
- Steve will contact all coaches and verify if still coaching. We have a couple guys from the Lorain Coast Guard Station who are also interested in coaching.
- Scott trying to contact Pat Riley regarding 501 C3 status.

New Business
- Letter written to Mayor Foltin and council asking for help with removal of baseball diamonds and help to make fields better. Will forward a cc to Bob Renney.
- Add open invitation to our next meeting in the letter.
- Future P.S.A. meetings. Steve went to one.
- P.S.A. organizing Pre PSA camp at LCCC to be held at the end of June. This camp has a cost. From there, certain players will be selected to play in a 5V5 tournament for free.
- No info. available regarding future meetings.
- Steve to contact Craig Umland this week and report back.
- Separate forms for uniforms to be completed by parents and forwarded to Tammy Dull. She will create the form.
- P.O. Box in Lorain paid until August. If continue having difficulty getting certain mail, will discuss moving to another post office location.
- Rob Garcia will report back at a later date with possible information for a new bank.

Future Meetings
- Monday, February 19, 2007 at Lorain Coast Guard Station @ 7:00pm

Open Discussion
- Robert Sanchez asked if there is any plan to break up all girl teams. It was discussed that all girl teams sometimes become a problem as they get older at the county level because there are not enough of them. At this point, girls might have to go to NOGSL to continue playing on girl only teams.
