Treasurer’s Report

  • Treasurer not present. No report.

Report from County Rep

  • John not present.

  • Per Steve: Players not on roster shouldn’t be playing. Coaches will be reprimanded or possibly suspended if caught.

Report from AASL Rep.

  • John not present.

  • Season is finished.

Registrar’s Report

  • Registrar not present.

  • Board will set dates for: Open registration, deadline to register for open registration, & deadline for additions to existing teams to supplement roster.

  • Johnna raised concerns about needing dedicated coaches prior to taking on new kids.

  • Steve to send e-mail to current coaches to make sure they plan on coaching in the Spring.

Old Business

  • Scott nominated Chris Dull for Field Manager position.

  • Johnna nominated April Serfozo as Treasurer.

  • Calvin nominated Mark Ambrosio Equipment Manager.

  • Calvin rescinded his nominated from last month and agreed to continue assisting Mark with soccer equipment.

  • Scott nominated Angie Sanchez as Vice President modified.

  • Steve accepted nomination for President

  • Elections will be held on Nov. 9, 2006. In accordance with our Constitution.

  • Mission statement, still in progress.

  • Jeff Kodman will research tax exempt and 501C3.

New Business

  • NOGSL U9 tryouts to be held on Oct. 25th @ 5:30pm field #5. Contact Rob Garcia 288-2665 or Frank Griffith 989-1210.

  • Frank has already spoken to U9 coaches.

  • Girls can play NOGSL and County. There is no additional cost to play NOGSL.

  • U9 team will start in lowest division, since it’s a new team & work their way up to a higher division.

  • Frank would like to put together an indoor team this winter so these girls can play together. Team will have footskills with Chris Dore in one of the gyms in Lorain City Schools one day per week. Games are played on Sundays.

  • Steve will contact parents of girls in this age range currently playing at the U9 level in Lorain.

Future Meetings

  • November 9th is an election meeting only @ 7:00pm at the Lorain Coast Guard Station.

  • November 14th is our regular monthly meeting @ 7:00pm at the Lorain Coast Guard Station.
