-Motion to accept minutes from 7/25/06 by Nicole.
-Second by Calvin.

Treasurer’s Report
-Nicole present with treasurer’s report.
-3 copies passed around, Nicole will e-mail copy to Johnna.
-To her knowledge, every bill is paid in full.
-Jeff will e-mail internet fees to Nicole.
-Reimbursement to Steve & Johnna for supplies this week once checks arrive. Gave her receipts.
-Per Steve, expense reimbursement form being created. Completed form will be required for
future reimbursements.
-Don’t automatically assume you will be reimbursed, contact Steve before making purchase.
-Distribution of Ref. Fee Checks.

Report from County Rep
-John not present, Steve gave info. from county web-site.
-Next County Soccer meeting is Sept. 6th, 2006 @ 8pm.
-Final Schedules made available on Aug. 22nd, 2006.
-Roster additions deadline it Aug. 25th, 2006.
-Season will start Aug. 26th, 2006.
-New Scheduling & Reporting system in place. Game info. entered once game played. Any
problems with reporting should be directed to John Jovanovski.
-Referee fees increased.

Report from AASL Rep.
-John not present.
-Not much to report except games have started this past week.

Registrar’s Report
-Christine only had player’s passes for 5 of our 12 county teams. County did not have them
available today as previously thought. Christine is to contact John J. about status of passes if
still not available tomorrow.
-Coaches without passes to contact Christine before 1st game.
-Application to OYSAN is in, they will vote on Aug. 30th, 2006. We can begin registering
players right away.

Old Business
-Coaches Clinic held in Aug. was very long, but very informative and coaches enjoyed it. Steve will contact Rick Dimacchia about doing a 2nd clinic which focus’ on drills & footskills that coaches can use at practices. Will also request a 3rd clinic that deals with tactics.
-Uniforms not in yet. Ordered at end of June, this is 8th week. Tammy will contact coaches on Friday to meet her at Longfellow if uniforms come in. Scott will pick them up from Unico.
-Coaches should have back up plan in case uniforms don’t arrive. For example: Mike Folley team wearing black pennies, Amanda and Milton’s team wearing white t-shirts.
-Robert advs. Dick’s Sporting Goods has packages for coaches with discounts for coaches and coupons for families.
-Lorain Soccer Apparel: All agreed prices at Unico seemed too high. Request getting prices at Kholymeyers and Shoreway.

-Scott suggested a soccer apparel committee to get prices and come back to body with final company and prices.
-Committee will be Johnna, Tammy, Janice, & Calvin.

-Second by Rob.
-Equipment (Fields) update given by Mark. Passed out sheet with coaches new field numbers. This also available with map online. Coaches to practice and play games on their field. If another team shows up for the same field on practice day, one team may move to an available field near by.
-U9 and higher nets will stay up. First coach to play on any given day will put up 4 flags on their field, and last coach will put away. Keys to shed may be obtained from Christine.
-Mark to get 2 size 3 balls from each U6 & U7 coach to let Peanuts use until we get more.
-Calvin will contact Peanuts, U6 & U7 coaches once we get okay to start the season and get them equipment.
-Peanuts & In-House teams are waiting for insurance to begin practicing. Johnna advised parents have been asking when their kids will start. She is advising them they will get a call from a coach the week after Labor Day. This information is also on the phone line.
-Robert able to get free cage from Coast Guard. Once Commander in Charge gives his okay, they will be donated to Lorain City Soccer. Only thing needed will be hinges.

New Business
-The floor is open for the August, September and October meetings for nominations of President,
VP Modified, Treasurer, Field Mgr. and Equipment Mgr. for the next 2 years. Elections will be
held on Nov. 9th, 2006. In accordance with our Constitution.
-Scott is VP standard, need Vp modified as our league grows in order to split up responsibility.
-No nominations at this time.
-Distribution of letter “From: President, LCSA”.
-NEW!!! www.LorainCitySoccer.org is online, up & running and full of content. Steve and Jeff post information. Eventually coaches will be able to post on their own page. Let parents know about the site.
-NEW!!! @LorainCitySoccer.org email is in use. Update your address book! Any coach can have e-mail. Give Jeff user ID & password.
-E-mail lists protect individual’s privacy and are more secure.

coaches@loraincitysoccer.org will forward to coaches only.
coachesandofficers@loraincitysoccer.org will forward to both of the above lists.
-Robert and Jeff to come up with mutual date to have a training session in the evening using our new site in the media room at the Coast Guard Station.
-Steve requested each person to e-mail him ideas for a mission statement to put on our web-site. He will present ideas at next meeting.
Future Meetings
- Next meeting will be on September 19, 2006 @ 8pm at the Lorain Coast Guard Station.

Open Discussion
-Johnna requested explanation of duties of field manager. Field manager will do basically what Scott and Mark have been doing: keep in contact with Bob Renney at the Parks Department to make sure fields mowed on Wednesday, make sure field striper stripes the field on Thursday or Friday each week so paint is dry for games (field manager could also do the striping or have multiple people do it as long as he/she makes sure it gets done), make sure nets are marked with numbers, and in charge of organizing labor if dirt needs to be brought in.
-Steve thinks the person who stripes the fields gets paid $15.00 per small field, $20.00 per modified, and $25.00 per standard.
-Nicole stated John is not able to stripe fields during the week. Robert knows someone who may be available to stripe on Thursday mornings. Will contact him.
-Get word out about officers. New officers take office in January for two years.
