Open Discussion
- Quickly read the following suggested amendments as conclusion to meeting:
- Amend Article V. of the Constitution to state that the Pres., VP/Mod., Treasure, Registrar and Equip. Mgr. be elected on “Even Numbered Years” unless vacant or vacated. Also amend, that the VP/Stand., Secretary, Field Mgr., and Uniform Mgr. be elected on “Odd Numbered Years” unless vacant or vacated. This would amend the Officers terms to two years. I submit this in the hopes of reducing our rate of turnover and to attract people to these offices who are committed to the longevity of this association. I have also seen how the mass exodus of Officers has sent this association into a deadly backslide. The staggering of elections could help to maintain continuity throughout the organization.
- Amend Article X.c of the Constitution to state, “youth between the ages of four (4) and eighteen (18) years…”. I submit this to adhere to past and current practice.
- Amend Article X.d of the Constitution to state the offices of Registrar and Field Mgr. include monetary reimbursement at a set amount, to be paid on a schedule. Also amend the language to strike “inure” for this section and clarify the Articles intent. I submit this to adhere to past and current practice.
- Amend Article XI.a-v of the Constitution to strike from and be replaced with language to include: conformation to the rules of F.I.F.A., OYSAN, LCSL, AASL, NOGSL and any league with which the body votes to be associated with or participate in. I submit this to adhere to past and current practice.
